The family spent a lovely three weeks in the village. We spent the better half of August and a little bit of September in the village. We had a great time. We got to spend some valuable time with my parents and our little daughter was able to see her grandparents. My sister and her daughter also joined us making for a very festive and family oriented time.
Our time was also spent helping in the pruning of our olive trees. The harvest looks great this year. There was a scare for a while as the village had not received any rain for well over three months. The lack of rain is a blessing and a curse. Aired conditions concentrates the oil making it a delicious tasting oil with very little acidity. Unfortunately, the aired conditions can harm the trees if it persists. Luckily mid way through September it did rain.
